Do you have an idea for a new customer solution? An innovation that would help our customers reduce their carbon footprint? Or perhaps an innovative solution to a common customer request in your country? Come and see us!

Catalina Panoiu innovation manager at Bouygues Energies & Services

With Fast Track, a new programme designed to speed up the time-to-market for innovative projects, the Innovation, Research and Development department is rounding out its support and development of innovation throughout Bouygues Construction's Energie & Services division.

“This programme has been designed for customer-centric solutions that have already been tested for their technical robustness, but which require careful marketing and business model design” adds Catalina.

A 3-month programme in 4 Agile sprints

“The Agile method is about uniting the members of a team to deliver a project using collaborative and collective intelligence. Each sprint defines priority tasks and how long the team members think it will take to complete them. It's a decision-making tool that can help speed up projects in just a few weeks” explains Catalina.

The programme contains four Agile sprints systematically followed by a final Go/No Go decision from the Executive Committee. If a Go is given, a 6 to 12 month marketing test can start!

During this testing phase, projects will continue to be supported by several teams, including the innovation, strategic marketing, and communication teams. Based on the return on investment, the solution may either be adopted by other teams (BUs, geographical areas, etc.) in order to move on to the production phase, or it may be redesigned based on market feedback.

A first Fast Track pilot is launched

In order to fine-tune it to meet the needs of the project leaders and clients involved, an initial pilot version with three Client Advocacy projects will be launched in France in October.  Some projects from the Inno'Cup competition will receive follow-up in collaboration with Bouygues Construction. A second pilot focusing on innovative decarbonisation solutions will be launched in the first quarter of 2022.

“The success of this programme will be measured both by its rapid implementation in the countries where we operate and by the number of projects that can then be brought to scale” says Servan Lacire, Director of Research, Development, and Innovation at Bouygues Energies & Services.

A comprehensive innovation support solution within the Energie & Services division

Building on a robust validation process, Fast Track complements existing R&D and innovation development processes within the Energies & Services division:

- R&D funding for ideas involving emerging technologies, long-term ventures, and academic partnerships.

- Smart Melody: the leading innovation development programme for long-term initiatives with business transformation potential.

- Coaching and personalised support for a broad range of projects, including client co-design and product redesign.

So if you have an idea or an innovative project underway and you need support to get it going, don't hesitate to contact the Bouygues Energies & Services Innovation, Research and Development Department.
