Following a call for tenders, Bouygues Energies & Services in partnership with Solstyce and Powidian has been selected by Université Côte d’Azur to launch the "H2ÉLIOTECH" project on the SophiaTech Campus.

This project is part of the Plan France Relance 2020 – 2022 (French Recovery Plan) project, for which Université Côté d’Azur has received funding.

It aims to reduce energy costs and optimise the overall performance of the sites, thanks to photovoltaic and hydrogen solutions, among others.

This performance based global contract includes the design and installation of photovoltaic equipment such as solar shading installed in car parks and solar panels installed on roofs as well as a hydrogen demonstrator.
This hydrogen demonstrator, specially developed for this project, will improve the self-consumption of the site and will also serve as an educational tool for teachers-researchers and students of the Polytech Nice Sophia engineering school.

Thanks to the demonstrator, Bouygues Energies & Services is responding to an educational challenge and enabling the teaching staff and students to become a player in the decarbonisation and energy transition.

“We are very proud and honoured that the fruit of our collective work should result in the launch of a new innovative project in favour of the Energy Transition, especially in the field of education. The fact of being able to make such innovative installations available for the benefit of the university sector is an opportunity for our company to explore new avenues and contribute to research and development”, explains Caroline Mazzoleni, Deputy Director of Hydrogen and Smart Energies.

Université Côte d'Azur will also benefit from Bouygues Energies et Services facility maintenance and operating services for the next eight years.

With this new contract, Bouygues Energies & Services is once again demonstrating its commitment to decarbonisation and energy transition and strengthening its position in the renewable energy sector.
