This year, marking the seventh year in a row for BYES-S, Bouygues UK & Linkcity joined BYES-S in recognising employees’ drive for innovation, commitment to sustainability, and support for the company in the race to net zero. For each entity, five finalist projects were shortlisted by a panel of judges, and they each pitched their sustainable initiatives live to over 200 colleagues, who then voted for a winning project per entity.

Representing BYES Solutions, the five finalists were:

Biodiversity and Wellbeing - The Lancashire Care Foundation Trust, Broomfield Hospital and The University of West London

Employability and Diversity - Whittingdon Hospital, The BYES Energy Team, The Girls Believe Academy

Sustainable Project Delivery - The BYES Energy Team

The Library on Wheels - The London PFIs

Decarbonisation in Action - The BYES Energy Team at South Cambridgeshire

The winning project for BYES Solutions was The Library on Wheels, a project transforming a former train carriage into a library for a local school.

Representing BYUK & LCY, the five finalists were:

Happy Growing Boxes - Castle Park View, Bristol

BeeOmonitoring - Hallsville Quater Phase 3

Site Logistics and Recycled Waste Management - Cavendish, Cambridge

ReWorked/Plastic Recycling - Procurement Department

ByPulse Energy Management - Tower Hamlets Town Hall

The winning project for BYUK & LCY was Site Logistics and Recycled Waste Management, a project which has adopted numerous solutions to ensure the Cavendish III site is sustainable.

Case Studies for each of the projects will be made available soon. Congratulations to all of our finalists!
