Yesterday, the teams of the GreenSide site, located within the Massues hospital center in Lyon, celebrated the end of the first planting campaign in the presence of Jean-Noël Freixinos, General Manager of GrandLyon Habitat, Anne Canova, Regional Director Auvergne Rhône -Alpes of CDC Habitat, Franck Venutolo of SUD Architectes, Anne Gardonni of AAG Landscape Architect Urbanism, Joris Duquoc, Director Auvergne Rhône-Alpes of Linkcity and Denis Urçullu, Director Auvergne Rhône-Alpes of Bouygues Bâtiment Sud-Est.
This construction project of 138 housing units that Bouygues Bâtiment Sud-Est is currently carrying out for Linkcity is located on the Fourvière hill in the heart of a Classified Wooded Area (EBC) of approximately 5,000m2, made up of 75 tall trees (catalpas , maples, oaks…). Particular attention is paid throughout the project to this exceptional surrounding landscape which will be enriched by the planting of 118 additional trees until the buildings are delivered at the end of 2026.
Since the start of 2023, 25 new trees have already been planted by our partner Parcs & Sports.
To mark this important milestone, a 26th tree, a Montpellier maple selected for its significant longevity and resistance to heat, was symbolically planted during a friendly event bringing together site teams, investors (GrandLyon Habitat and CDC Habitat) and partners.
Started 1 year ago, the project is also accompanied by a strong approach intended to preserve biodiversity with in particular:
- the intervention of an ecologist with the site team
- the implementation of specific arrangements to preserve the existing fauna and flora on the site (infiltrating floor coverings, fences allowing the passage of fauna, nesting boxes, etc.).
Provisions that will allow the residence to aim for the Biodivercity® label.
