The HKMA Hong Kong Sustainability Award

On 14 December, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Dragages Hong Kong teams were presented with the HKMA Hong Kong Sustainability Award at the Hong Kong Sustainability Awards 2020/2021.

The award recognises their economic, social and environmental performance and highlights their determination to move towards zero carbon.

For a number of years, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Dragages Hong Kong have been committed to implementing initiatives aimed at addressing environmental and digital challenges on their sites, including the development of new technologies to improve the sustainability of their activities and provide better services to their customers. The use of robots and digital tools (Mobydic, Telemach, Snake, etc.), the digitalisation of construction sites (BIM, Big DATA & IOT, etc.), the application of smart construction methods and advanced technologies in tunnels are all initiatives that help build a sustainable model.

The Work Safe Behaviour Award

On 21 December, teams working on the Inter-Reservoirs Transfer Scheme Water tunnel were also honoured at the 20th Hong Kong Occupational Safety & Health Awards, where they were presented with the gold Work Safe Behaviour Award!

This award underlines the importance that Bouygues Travaux Publics and Dragages Hong Kong place on the health and safety of their employees and contractors working on the IRTS site, a 2.9-km tunnel that will link the Kowloon Byewash and Lower Shing Mun water reservoirs.

The Highest Participation Awards

The third and final prize awarded to Bouygues Travaux Publics and Dragages Hong Kong teams was the silver Highest Participation Award at the International Volunteer Day Recognition Ceremony on 11 December, in recognition of the initiatives they have taken to support the people of Hong Kong.

Every year, Dragages Hong Kong Volunteers team partner with non-profit organisations to organise community activities. This year, the volunteers helped pack individual pandemic kits and distribute them to around 100,000 elderly people working in the area.

Congratulations to our employees for their commitment and for the results achieved in 2021!
