Starting out from Courbevoie in February 2019, Virginie has just put the last of her more or less 3,000 rings in place; the tunnel of the future RER E is now completely dug out!

After a final sprint below the Boulevard Haussmann, the TBM came to a halt last Tuesday under the Saint-Lazare station, behind the wall of the intersection vault structure (a convergence point between several tunnels). Teams are now going to dismantle the machine, just a few metres away from the platforms of the current RER E.

A superb collective success story for the 200 staff who relayed each other day and night operating the TBM: well done everyone!
