The contract covers the design and build of a new two-story facility with airside and landside access. The work will include: a two-story building, ancillary buildings, installation of construction services, exterior work, landscaping and associated civil engineering work, with an estimated total footprint of 11,300 square meters. Delivery is scheduled for July 2024.

For the construction of the sorting centre, BIM technology will be applied on a large scale and at various levels: design, calculation and planning of surfaces, management of site safety, 4D modelling and simulation, and recording of finished structure data. In addition, this digital technology will be used to link up to the airport management system. Once it has been completed, the TMC will be one of the most advanced logistics centres in Hong Kong, housing state-of-the-art mail sorting equipment.

This new contract demonstrates Dragages Hong Kong's ability to build lasting relationships with its clients. The project will also enable the company to diversify its order book and to leverage its expertise by implementing innovative construction technologies.
