Located in the heart of Nantes, the building is distinguished by its ashlar facades. In this R+5 building, Linkcity Grand Ouest is developing the Pavillon Cambronne residence for Perl, comprising 42 homes and 4 small houses in the heart of the block, opening onto a private inner courtyard. On the ground floor of the building, a business premises will accommodate a commercial activity. 14 covered parking spaces will also be built.

Reconversion of an existing building and densification from above

This former office building will be used for new purposes: originally designed for work, the building is currently being converted to live in.

The facades, which are classified as historical monuments, and the existing structure are being renovated and preserved. The rest of the building is being completely cleaned out and heavily restructured. The floors, which have also been preserved, are reinforced to accommodate the technical ducts. The floors will then be completely re-partitioned to transform this office building into a residential building. In order to increase the density of the building from the top, a one-storey elevation will be built, thus offering larger duplex flats. This elevation features a wooden structure and wooden floor, thus reducing the project's carbon footprint.

The construction work, which began in June 2021, is being carried out by Bouygues Bâtiment Grand Ouest teams in Nantes. Carried out on a cramped site with storage space constraints, the new building and major refurbishment work will be completed at the end of 2022, i.e. in just one and a half years.
