After a 3.5 month delay in the start of work due to asbestos, the project was completed in early 2022. Carried out on an occupied site, the energy renovation work on the 215 apartments spread over 6 buildings of the Bic Auber 1 residence consisted of
- The replacement of the woodwork with the integration of electric shutters;
- Insulation of the facades from the outside (coating on PSE insulation and wood cladding);
- The renovation of the terraces (waterproofing, insulation, ventilation and installation of metal railings);
- Replacement of the metalwork (doors of corridors, cellars, 700 ml of privacy screen and installation of louvers in the common areas);
- Renovation of the exterior common areas (planters, access doors, etc.).
The organization of this project was made complex by the size of the site: a total of 45,000 square meters including 215 housing units, a daycare center and a community center.
In total, the rehabilitation work on the Bic Auber 1 residence has enabled a 35% improvement in the energy performance of the homes.
