This 3-span viaduct is classified as a non-standard engineering structure. It is 120 metres long, curved and slightly sloping towards the outside (to facilitate rainwater drainage). Because of its specific characteristics, meticulous adjustment was required when putting the deck into place. The framework, weighing 520 metric tons, was carefully positioned to the nearest centimetre over a period of four nights using powerful hydraulic jacks.
Congratulations to all the partners involved for their great teamwork, enabling this operation to be successfully completed on time!

The western viaduct is one of four structures - one temporary - built as part of this project that will link the A11 highway to the Eastern bypass. The development work currently being carried out will ultimately improve traffic conditions for users. It will optimise travel in the north of Nantes, with a positive impact on comfort and safety of drivers.
