Mission accomplished for the consortium led by BBSE, which delivered the new CREPS from Vichy to the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Region on February 28. Focus on this emblematic project for the 2024 Olympic Games.
It was on February 28 that the last phase of this major project was delivered, which has mobilized our Auvergne teams since the summer of 2021. The Vichy CREPS is thus becoming a reference in the reception of high-level athletes. and a premier Olympic and Paralympic training facility. In the program :
1. Construction of a catering area offering 3 spaces (self, cafeteria, private room)
=> delivered on October 7, 2022
2. Rehabilitation and extension of 2 accommodation buildings (120 beds) classified "3 stars +" and connected by a 200 m2 extension
Of the 120 beds, 30 are in hypoxic chambers: rare equipment in France and popular with athletes, which simulates altitude up to 4,000 m (improved performance, increased production of red blood cells, etc.)
=> delivered on October 7, 2022
3. Construction of a health and performance center of 2,500 m2 including:
- a technical platform
- a recovery area
- a physical preparation area
- a health center
- balneotherapy (cold pool at 10°C, temperate pool, hot pool at 38°C, sauna and hammam)
- a 100 m2 room with a controlled environment to regulate hygrometry (measurement of the degree of humidity in the atmosphere), temperature (15 to 50°C) and hypoxia (decrease in the quantity of oxygen that blood distributes to tissues)
=> delivered November 28, 2022 4. Securing the entire site (access control and 1 km perimeter fence), revegetation of outdoor spaces, energy improvement work within the existing boiler room and construction of a biomass boiler room within of the catering center => delivered on February 28, 2023

It was also a question of making all the equipment accessible to people with disabilities and of making the CREPS of Vichy a national reference in terms of welcoming disabled sports. The result is an ultra-modern site labeled E3C1 and which has already been chosen as a preparation center by many French and foreign teams for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games: the American triathlon team, the Japanese volleyball team, the French para-fencing team, the French women's and men's sitting volleyball teams, and the French wheelchair rugby team...
Congratulations to all the employees who contributed to this success in a consortium with the architectural agencies Denis Ameil and AA GROUP, the design offices Ingérop, Ergozen, Eodd, Grande Cuisine Ingénierie, the economist ECIB and the operator and maintainer ENGIE.
