The inauguration of this emblematic Lyon project took place on April 5, in the presence of Grégory Doucet, Mayor of Lyon, Bruno Bernard, President of Lyon Metropolis, Raphaël Michaud, President of SACVL, Renaud Payre, Vice-President of the Metropolis of Lyon in charge of Housing, Social Housing and City Policy, Nathalie Perrin-Gilbert, Deputy Mayor of Lyon in charge of Culture, Yasmine Bouagga, Mayor of the 1st arrondissement, Philippe Brocard, President of Lyon BD, Joris Duquoc, Director of Linkcity Auvergne Rhône-Alpes and Daniel Lopes, President of BBSE. Spotlight on this exceptional rehabilitation, representative of our expertise in asset transformation.

Transforming a college with remarkable architecture from 1887 into a new multi-use place dedicated to young people and open to all: this is the challenge that the teams from Linkcity and Bouygues Bâtiment Sud-Est have taken up in 24 months of the Lyon district of the Pentes de la Croix Rousse.

Covering an area of 5,470 m2, the new complex has been welcoming since the end of 2022:
- a 100% social student residence comprising 65 studios and 4 flatshares, managed by the SACVL in partnership with the AFEV association
- a 45-room hostel-restaurant with an innovative concept managed by Hirundi under the PILO brand
- a graphic college and offices for Lyon BD
- an inter-company crèche with 20 cradles managed by Les Petits Chaperons Rouges
- so-called "plural" rooms that will link all the actors of Truffaut College and will be available to young people from the borough and the city
- all gathered around a central courtyard open to the outside and accessible to all during the day by two "traboules".

Designed by Linkcity Sud-Est in partnership with architects BAMAA and Archipat, this project involved 100% local subcontracting companies. It was also marked by a strong approach to the circular economy and reuse led by the site team in partnership with Minéka, a Lyon-based association for the social and solidarity economy. 46 materials from existing buildings have thus been identified to be kept in the design of the project or reused by reuse channels targeting associations, professionals or individuals. Among these materials, old school desks and chalkboards were recovered by Atelier Emmaüs to make a special series of its small "Henri" storage unit... a work that entered the Mobilier National collections in 2022. , a prestigious institution which has ensured its mission of furnishing the palaces of the Republic for 300 years!

Congratulations to all the employees who contributed to making this project a major reference for Linkcity and Bouygues Bâtiment Sud-Est.
