As part of the “Family Day”, Align (Bouygues Travaux Publics, Sir Robert McAlpine and VolkerFitzpatrick) welcomed at the South Portal site family members and friends of the JV teams, along with those from its supply chain partners working on the project.

An event full of activities

Many activities were organised during this day: a static display of plant and equipment, minibus tour of the site, crane simulators available for children, a PPE dress up area and photo booth, visitor centre video footage and animations. These special guests were able to discover all the secrets of the site.

A great success for our teams

Daniel Altier, Align Project Director commented:
“I have received some very positive feedback relating to the Family Day on Saturday which was attended by over 700 visitors. This could not have been achieved without the support of many colleagues over the weeks and months leading up to the event, and also by those who attended on the day.

We are proud of the fact that C1-Align is a truly integrated project team and events like this, which are open to include our supply chain partners, help to reinforce that bond between us all and provide the opportunity to show family and friends the project, which we are rightly very proud to be part of.

I would like to thank everyone who contributed to help make this event such a great success.”
