Chosen by Infraestructuras de Portugal, a state-owned company, VSL will be leading the repair and reinforcement works from A to Z, which includes external post-tensioning, reinforcement of the deck, carbon fibre and slopes, the repair of cracks and concrete, the replacement of bearings, safety barriers and expansion joints, as well as structure protection by coating.
Such an ambitious and challenging road map for our teams: the works will be performed in record time, most of the time simultaneously, with traffic still running on one lane. The unique expertise and professionalism of the VSL teams will be a key asset to succeed on this challenging mission.
The works started a few weeks ago and are expected to last over the next 14 months. Good luck to all our teams involved on such an exciting adventure!
