Dear colleagues,
For more than three weeks, we have all been deeply affected by the conflict in Ukraine and the growing humanitarian crisis.
I would like to send a special message to our staff and partners of Ukrainian origin, many of whom work in our subsidiary KARMAR, to show them our support and assure them that, both professionally and personally, we are there for them at this particularly painful time.
Numerous solidarity initiatives are being carried out within Bouygues Construction to provide support to the civilian populations affected by this conflict.
To complement these actions and support emergency humanitarian aid, we are mobilising, through our corporate foundation Terre Plurielle and a partnership with a well-known NGO, CARE, in the form of an immediate donation of €150,000.
A donation platform is now open to facilitate contributions from staff who wish to help. This voluntary fundraising campaign will also be backed up by the company and we will keep you informed of CARE's actions via a video conference.
Going beyond this emergency initiative, we believe it is essential to take a medium and long-term view.
In keeping with the Group's values and our societal commitments, we will, over the coming months, be working to facilitate the reception, integration and access to employment of Ukrainian nationals in all European countries where we operate.
This commitment will take different forms, we will have the opportunity to talk about it again and I know that many of you will want to participate or mobilize.
In these dark times, our spirit of solidarity and mutual aid is more than ever a great strength and a source of pride, which we must preserve and use to serve the communities affected by this conflict.
Thanks to all of you who have been working on individual or collective actions, and I am sure that this donation campaign will allow us to reinforce all the humanitarian initiatives deployed by the NGO CARE.
