Congratulations to our team for this impactful initiative: 80 of our VSL Middle East colleagues managed to plant up to 80 trees!

On average, each tree can capture 312kg of CO2 over its lifetime. The 80 mangroves planted will then significantly contribute to carbon sequestration, with an estimated capture of  approximately 25 tonnes of CO2.

The event was a great learning experience about the importance of mangrove trees in our local area. This gave me a sense of fulfilment, even to a small extent, knowing that I was able to help build a better environment for my children. It was also a great time to get out of our comfort zones and enjoy the outdoors with our co-workers.

Christian Buluran  Quality Control Manager

Mangroves play a vital part in our environment. Organising and participating in the event was a valuable experience. Imparting the importance of the activity with the team made it amazing, and knowing that you've contributed in improving the environment makes me want to do more similar activities.
