The event gathered our teams from Australia, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia. The sessions were a great opportunity for them to meet in person, share their own experiences, talk about recent challenges and success stories. With such a diverse and multicultural business development team, the week was particularly enriching, and full of insightful and exciting discussions. Different backgrounds, different experiences, different regions, but all with a unique drive, and a clear mission: better support our clients, better serve their needs.

Getting our Business Development Managers from Asia together was all about giving them the chance to network, to share best practice, to learn, and to generate the energy and momentum to help us achieve our ambitious growth objectives as a company. This session follows the week that we had in September, in Windsor in the UK, with our Business Development Managers from the CEME and IALA Regions.

David Myerscough Human Resources Director, VSL International

This was a good reminder that Business Development is all about the client, not ourselves. It was fun doing the cooking class for team building. A great opportunity to catch up with old and new colleagues to discuss challenges and wins.

Chan Cheong Business Development Manager, VSL Australia

"Iron sharpens iron". In this event, I got to meet with many Business Development Managers across the region and we learnt from each other through the group work we did. There were many "projects" which we had to pit ourselves against each other, observed our very skilled colleagues on how they sold, handled the responses of "clients" and negotiated deals. There was a bid preparation and presentation from a real tender that we had to do on the last day, and we saw some very fine teams at work.

Magdalene Choo Assistant Marketing Manager, VSL Singapore

Thank you to all for such an educational and rewarding week, always in a fun atmosphere!
