Each year the BCIA take place, a ceremony awarding companies or project teams for their innovations, efforts to reduce their environmental impact and construction and engineering excellence on worksites. During this ceremony, the Bouygues Travaux Publics team, as part of the Align JV, received the IPA’s Industry Innovation Champion award for the use of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered construction optioneering platform provided by Alice Technoloigies on HS2.

The technology has specifically been used in the planning for the 3.4-kilometre viaduct across a series of lakes and waterways in the Colne Valley.

But Alice, what is it?

Alice is the world's first AI-powered construction simulation and optimisation platform. A real planning, scheduling and site management tool, this platform makes the work of the teams more fluid and reduces working time and costs on a worksite. Alice, thanks to 3D, explores millions of different schedule sequences and gives teams the power to find solutions to these sequences, allowing reschedule in just minutes.

A big congratulation to all for winning this award!
