During work in the "Fréjus tunnel", the client required a system that would allow rapid evacuation of the site if necessary.
Usually, to work on the ceiling, our teams use autonomous platforms. Practical because of their small size, they have the disadvantage of requiring a machine carrier to bring them in and retrieve them, even in an emergency. 
To meet this specific demand, the BYES Matériel teams have found a commercial solution that meets all the criteria:
- A truck with an integrated aerial platform
- Does not require a HGV licence to drive it
- And of course, adapted to the work to be carried out.
This solution, which has been in service since April 2021 on the Fréjus Tunnel site, has given complete satisfaction to the teams and the client, both in terms of ergonomics and efficiency.

After this project, this truck, which is considerably more expensive than a conventional one, could be used again for underground work or even for the maintenance of toll barriers.
