Built by Bouygues in 1984, this residence is located in the Plateau district. It will benefit from a major rehabilitation program eagerly awaited by the residents.

The rehabilitation of the 274 occupied units includes the renovation of wet rooms, heating installations, replacement of exterior woodwork, improvement of ventilation and electrical installations.

The brick facades will be cleaned, the concrete walls insulated from the outside and the flat roofs renovated to solve the problems of water infiltration and increase the thermal performance of the residence.

In addition to the work intended to improve the comfort of the inhabitants, the main challenges of the project are to deal with the problems of squatting and to integrate the public garden which is being returned to the residence by providing new uses for the inhabitants.

Thus, the project foresees the modification of the ground floor and the building lobbies in order to eliminate the crossing passages, to secure the accesses, to modify the circulations in the Residence and to improve the accessibility for disabled people. The green spaces will be co-designed with the residents in partnership with the AJDB (Association des Jeunes pour le Développement de Bagnolet) in order to specify the different uses of the garden and to help them to appropriate this new place.

Finally, a global approach to reuse and recycling of the materials deposited is planned, in partnership with the Solid-R platform in La Courneuve, next to our offices in Saint-Denis.

One year after the delivery of the Franklin Residence, the OPH of Bagnolet has once again trusted Habitat Social to carry out this important project for the city. While waiting for the OS Conception, the teams presented the project to the inhabitants on June 16 in the presence of the mayor.
