At its meeting of 5 November 2021, the Engie Board of Directors decided to sign a purchase agreement allowing Bouygues to acquire Equans. With sales of €12.5 billion and 74,000 employees, Equans operates in 17 countries in a large number of high growth potential sectors: electrical engineering, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical engineering, robotics, digital and telecoms networks and facilities management. It works through recognised brands such as Ineo, Axima and Fabricom. This is both a large-scale and future-shaping deal for Bouygues – the biggest ever carried out by the Group – and will see it move up to a completely different level.
We are going to create a sixth business segment around Equans by drawing on the know-how and the very good match between the Group’s Energies and Services arm and Equans. The new entity will become the largest business segment within the Bouygues group by sales (€16 billion) and number of employees (around 96,000). For more information, you can find the memo here.

Men and women02 February 2023This year’s Annual Performance Discussions are going paperless for our workers!
The aim of the Annual Performance Discussions is to encourage balanced, quality exchanges between Bouygues Construction managers and employees. Essential to our employees’ career development and future planning, these discussions are about trust, simplicity, teamwork and the pioneering spirit.
From 5 January to 31 March 2023, over 30,000 annual interviews will be conducted with the Global HR tool, including more than 5,000 with workers across France.
These discussions can be prepared with the help of a flyer published for this purpose, also available in ByLearn. This feedback on an experience with CPI tells you more about the new workers’ Annual Performance Discussions. There are also Annual Performance Discussions memo sheets and guides for all staff and managers, as well as an FAQ section, all available on ByLearn.

Bouygues Construction University gives you access from ByLe@rn to a self-service language training platform to learn and perfect your foreign language skills: goFLUENT!
It is important to maintain and practise your language skills throughout your working life: employees who speak English, or any other foreign language, are an asset for Bouygues Construction.
Because with our Greenlight strategy, the Group has defined three main ambitions: to grow, transform itself, and stand out from the crowd. Our growth will be achieved by going even more international, obtaining new markets, developing new sites and establishing ourselves in new countries. How? By adopting a more global, wide-ranging approach that will take us head-first into this world-scale logic. With this in mind, the command of at least one foreign language has become a necessity.
Focus on... The goFLUENT Challenge!
Bouygues Construction University organised the goFLUENT Challenge in the aim of encouraging employees to train in foreign languages. The challenge ended on 9th December, following the participation of more than 300 employees from France and abroad. All our participants did their best to win the prizes on offer! A total of 12 languages, including French, English, Korean and Dutch, were studied through various themes. Congratulations to the 15 winners as well as all the other participants!
