Several months ago, Bouygues Construction and its Welink women’s network partnered with the “Elles Bougent” association (see previous article) so that our female engineers and technicians could take part in raising awareness amongst female university and secondary school students. Fifty “patrons”, all of them female engineers, took part in the “Girls on the Move” event on 8 March, with the aim of helping these young women to discover occupations traditionally seen as masculine.
The event programme included visits by 230 female secondary school and university students to some of the Group’s construction projects, such as Qua4drans in Paris (CPI), the Hotel Packard in Cuba (BBI), the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao bridge (Dragages and VSL), the CFC Tower in Casablanca (BYMARO), in addition to discussions with female employees from Bouygues Construction and personal accounts or stories.

This event clearly demonstrates Bouygues Construction’s commitment to diversity as well as inspiring youngsters in their career paths.
